We have seen all the challenges of San Francisco moving - spiral staircases with low overheads, 4th floor apartments with no elevators, tiny old elevators from the turn of the century. Hills with up to 31.5% gradient on Telegraph hill.
We have craned pianos out of windows and out of balconies.
Moving in San Francisco is different than moving in any other city in the Bay Area, since it is such a unique city. But that is why we love San Francisco! We will help guide you through planning a move in the city from start to finish.
Securing parking is an important detail many moving companies overlook. The parking police are quick to come around and ticket, so double parking is often not an option. More information is available here on purchasing temporary parking permits. The price is usually $150-200 to purchase, and they must be purchased from the city about a week before the move. https://www.sfmta.com/permits/temporary-signage.
Many apartment complexes in San Francisco also require that movers provide certificates of insurance (COI) before we can enter the building. Being fully insured and licensed, this is not an issue for us. We do request a few days notice to be able to prepare the COI, and charge a $20 fee for the COI.
No matter what the challenge is, we can do it as the best San Francisco Movers and packers in the Bay Area!
